With the release of this, their second Album for
Vertigo, Warhorse have more than fulfilled the promise
that was evident from the birth of the group in
June 1970.
If the first Album was to act as a probe, creating a
position amongst the Supergroups; causing fanatical ee
excitement on the Continent; and winning them
appearances on two of Europe's most revered Television
shows, Germany's ‘Beatclub’, and Britain’s “Disco 2’,
then this second Album cannot fail to establish them
in the hierarchy of Europe's greatest groups.
Warhorse is:
Nick Simper on Bass Guitar, formerly a founder
member of ‘Deep Durple’ whose contribution to
that group’s success can be witnessed on their
early Albums and singles, now creating completely
new dimensions with his talents.
Mac Doole on Drums, one of those rare individuals -
a musician's musician.
Ashley Holt on Vocals, unquestionably one of
Britain's top Rock singers.
Frank Wilson on Organ and Piano, a complete
mini-orchestra of sound, whose huge
talents are expanding the whole concept
of electric keyboards.
Deter Darks on Lead Guitar, who adds the soulful,
funky sound of the progressive blues
guitarist to the highly original
arrangements and improvisations that
are always evident in Warhorse
compositions.
Red Sea is an Album for the hard rock enthusiast
and for all contemporay music
