выпущенный первоначально в феврале 1971 года фирмой Vertigo, 
но вскоре переизданный (вместе с первым альбомом 
Very 'eavy...Very 'umble) новосозданной в 1971 году фирмой 
Bronze Records. Salisbury представляет собой уклон в 
популярное в то время музыкальное направление, которое 
теперь чаще называют прогрессивный рок или прогрок, а тогда 
звали арт-рок. Самые яркие вещи альбома: 16-минутная 
заглавная композиция Salisbury с участием оркестра из 
24 человек и одна из популярнейших песен Uriah Heep - 
акустическая баллада Lady In Black....

Солсбери" - второй альбом английской рок-группы Uriah Heep, выпущенный первоначально в феврале 1971 года фирмой Vertigo, но вскоре переизданный (вместе с первым альбомом Very 'eavy...Very 'umble) новосозданной в 1971 году фирмой Bronze Records. Salisbury 

nредставляет собой уклон в популярное в то время музыкальное направление, которое теперь чаще называют прогрессивный рок или прогрок, а тогда звали арт-рок. Самые яркие вещи альбома: 16-минутная заглавная композиция Salisbury с участием оркестра из 24 человек и одна из популярнейших песен Uriah Heep - акустическая баллада Lady In Black.

К тому времени, барабанщик Олли Олссон вернулся к Элтону Джону, от которого ушел после записи его дебютного альбома . Тот альбом - Empty Sky (1969) - внезапно возымел успех в США, и они поехали в турне пожинать плоды успеха. Uriah Heep взяли вместо Олссона ударником Кита Бейкера. Salisbury продюссировал опять Джерри Брон на той же лондонской студии Lansdowne, что и первый свой альбом. В этом альбоме чрезвычайно выросла доля творческого влияния Кена Хенсли: им написана половина песен в Salisbury. Вторая половина написана им же, только в соавторстве с Боксом и Байроном.

Look at Yourself - "Взгляни на себя" 
третий альбом британской рок-группы Uriah Heep, 
выпущенный в октябре 1971 г. фирмой Bronze Records в Европе и Mercury в Америке. 
Заглавная вещь Look at Yourself и July Morning выходили синглами в Сев.Америке 
в 1971 и 1973 гг. соответственно. Альбом достиг в Соединенном Королевстве 
39-го места, в США также попал в первую сотню....
Обложка альбома (идея гитариста Мика Бокса) - глаза и пустое пространство, 
заполненное фольгой, в которой слушатель видел свое слегка искаженное отражение. 
"Посмотри на себя" - гласит надпись над этим "зеркалом"....

This. our first album, embraces vital individuality
and a number of styles all adequately displaying
individual and collective techniques. Uriah Heep is
a group in its most together sense and possesses, 
 feel, phenomenal ability and potential.

But. superlatives aside,  would like to mention
certain points on the album which permit one’s
enjoyment of each member's influence.

Mick's guitar solo on I'LL KEEP ON TRYING is so
simple in concept, and yet so very effective (it’s
difficult to be specific when commenting on a
player of such a consistently high standard).

arrangement extensively. His writing ability is
valuable and appears on DREAMMARE.

Nigel joined the band with tremendous impact
about three quarters of the way through recording
and provides a standard of drumming which is
valid and completely satisfying. Credit must go too,

Dave carries our vocal flag with rare precision and
expression and has uncanny flexibility which
makes him an instrument on his own—a
“Davotron” yet! As one of the main writers in the
band his contributions are priceless.

On the song GYPSY, they let-me do a little slide-
guitar here and there to keep me quiet! (Quiet!)
So that’s a brief insight into the structure of the
band which  sincerely hope will enhance your
enjoyment of our first LP.

beginning to the end of a battle, and then back to

 The letters LP could well mean “Large Problem” for that is what

faced everybody involved in making this album.

To condense into a single groove, the-mood of each song, alone is a
monumental task — but when allied with the associated technical
precision demanded by today’s high standards il assumes [rightening
proportions.

Like all problems it was solved by a powerful combination; that of
great technical knowledge and experience, and determined enthusi-
asm. All linked by one common factor, co-operation,

I am delighted to have contributed to this record of which I am
immensely proud. Happy too that I have this opportunity to offer the
bands thanks to everyone concerned.

arrangement extensively. His writing ability is valuable and

valid and completely satisfying. Credit must go too, to our former
drummer, Al Napier.

Dave carries our vocal flag with rare precision and expression and
has uncanny flexibility which makes him an instrument on his
own—a “Davotron” yet! As one of the main writers in the band his

I particularly enjoy Gypsy and they let me do a little slide-guitar here
and there to keep me quiet! (Quiet!)
